Norm Hansen
|
Norm's music career spans over 35 years as a successful musician,
teacher, arranger, producer and sound engineer. Currently he
operates Norm Hansen Studios - a teaching facility which also
incorporates a digital recording studio and production house.
 As a songwriter
he uses his jazz musician's background to add that sweet touch
of jazz to some of his songs - stuff that doesn't "get
in the way", demand concentration or force itself on
the listener. That's Steve's job as a lyricist.
 Norm's
tunes are full of ambient energy, vibration, and joy with
expressions that communicate effortlessly on the subtle level.
His music actually makes you feel good without making you
listen. He appeals not just to jazz enthusiasts, but to the
average listener. Give his music a listen!

Steve Low
|
Steve, the unlikely songwriter, has no formal music training.
He remembers writing a simple poem, never mind a sonnet, was
a big headache back in high school. For some 30 years after
graduating from the University of B.C., he wrote nothing worth
mentioning. Then one day, he started writing lyrics, for no
reason. He told his family it's like Forrest Gump in the movie
who ran from coast to coast for no reason at all.
After
2 years, he has written over 100 lyrics, most of them singable.
He says writing lyrics is a piece of cake; 100% inspiration
and 0% perspiration. The first he wrote was "A Reason
for the Season", which you can sample free of charge.
Originally, there were no plans to share his songs but along
came Norm Hansen, his friend of immense talents, who wrote
some incredibly beautiful tunes that screamed out to be heard.
So they are writing songs for you to comfort, to inspire,
to entertain and to sing along. Have fun!
